I let go of the group buy argument long ago. I won that one with post #1. This guy decided he needed to insult me - that I won't just let go. If he wants to continue spouting off like a fool, so be it.

On a tangential note, the reason for this sub-forum as I see it is for someone who has taken care of the logisitics of a group buy, or perhaps a vendor, can offer a group buy.

I have yet to see any successful group buy started by someone asking someone else to do the work. There may be examples here, but I do not have the time to look for them.

By the way, I have no problem with Kentucky, actually I love it there. Beautiful place. Been to the derby twice and whatever area's near Cincinatti. Nor do I think there are anymore Backwoods hicks than there are in Illinois or California. I brought nthat up because this guy's telling me I'm not paying for shit, I'd have to guess that the cost of living In LA far exceeds the cost of living pretty much anywhere in Kentucky, Just my way of saying to him I'm not broke.

Fanzotti - You can look at this a few different ways.

1.) You have officially been welcomed to R3v.

2.) You now know that if you aren't willing to start the group buy, just call around and be happy if you get $20 off something.

3.) You can pick up your toys and go home. Home being that other E30 tech site.

4.) Don't expect everyone to be nice here - hey, it's just the internet.

5.) If you keep pulling someones' chain, they'll keep pulling yours. Getting butthurt over Dave taking little jab at you isn't worth it. Remember, it's R3v - not e30tech. We have more fun than those guys, but we also have thicker skin.

Feel free to pick one, any combination, or all.

That said, I like Dave just fine - he's a good guy.

If you stick around, you'll see the same thing happen to other people too. I promise nobody here thinks you're special and we all pick on each other equally.

I have enough clients to live comfortably. I have staff to do a lot of my legwork, and I set my own hours. Today was a slower day in some respects.

If you get arrested or have other legal issues in Ohio or Kentucky, don;t call me. But that'll be your loss, not mine.
