Another group buy time, Adjustable sway bar links

got mine yesterday, thanks. Might be a stupid question, but is it neccessary to grease the spherical joints?

so i have the longer m3 style links, and i think they are tooo long. my car is dropped 2" in front, and when i make the links as short as possible, its still pushing the sway bar downward?
