Incorrect. I have 3 euro ellip assemblies, all 3 are Bosch and all 3 are plastic reflector housings?

I'm not saying I know what has what, but I definetly do not think they are all metal.

BOSCH reflector housings are metal, and painted a orangy tan color.
Hella reflector housings are plastic, and either light grey or black in color.

      Hella left, Bosch right.

Oh, I thought the reflector housing was the one in between what you're referring to and the lens themselves.

I havent seen Hellas yet but I'll take your word for it.

        Carry on.

I always thought the backs on the bosch were ceramic and would crack due to the heat...

niether have ceramic. and the bulb securing\seating part is metal on both. the e30 housings are alot more sturdy than e46 housings, so i cant really see how you would have any problems.

You won't be the first person to put HIDs in Bosch Smilies ;) Nor the last!

3 months now with 55w, 6000k H1 lows and 55w, 3000k H3 fogs and no issues - the ballasts are a bit bulky but that's what I get for going with the 55w kit. good stuff for sure!

nando, got pics of the the ballasts installed? Im trying to decide between the 55w kit and the other, and the ballast placement is a big factor for me.

no, they're kindof a mess right now. I have too much going on in those areas, no real room to mount them right. but they're all hidden behind the headlight covers so it doesn't matter that much.

Actually yes, They should all ship tomorrow. The high wattage kits were delayed in shipment to them from the holiday rush so most of the temps were out of stock.

Should be en route tomorrow. As soon as I get the tracking info I will sent it out. I will send yours first jordan haha

Is it too late to make a change to the address they ship to?

I know a lot of it is personal opinion, but what would be better?

                              I know I want 4500K so...

                              35 or 55 watt?
                              Slim or reg ballast?

Also... I'm going to be like your middle school teacher and then ask you to explain "Why"

I have Apexcone HID's in 55w 6k in both my cabrio and my E39. For the price difference you're crazy not to buy the 55w, IMO. They're ridiculously bright. In a good way. :)
