      Great!

Would it be too soon to start a list?

i don't mind giving credit where its due but he prefers to remain nameless. so, if your interested join the list. I will be making some other e30 products as well after this is completed. pm me if you're serious about something you'd like that doesn't pertain to this gb.

Actually I didn't have the orignal idea, I talked to the person who originally figured out the setup, purchased all the parts, then measured everything and verified the dimensions. And did a cad drawing of a untested and unverified bracket, and distributed it to one other member to have some brackets made so we could test them.

I find it amusing how you are willing to do a group buy over the internet for a adapter bracket that you didn't draw up yourself, measure or test. But are willing to sell at least 10 of them to fellow board members. Of course that is just my

take a look at Massive Lee's big brake kit, he did all the research himself and tested everything on his own personal car before even considering selling kits to someone else.

before making assumptions about what research i have and have not done keep your accusations to yourself. I have made a copy out of alluminum which fits onto the e30 mounting bracket, and i have a set of calipers coming in the mail next week which i am bolting up. if changes need to be made, they will be made. I did not draw the CAD drawing, i have no problems admitting to that. However a lot of the work is creating the program which actually cuts out the piece, and this is done differently for every machine and this has already been done.

massivelee makes great brakes and he's put a lot of R&D into it. I'm not copying massivelee, and this is not even on the same level as the stuff which he sells and produces. This is not a "Big Brake kit" this is an adapter for those wanting to put RX7 brakes onto their e30. I got the drawing in a pm from a fellow on m42club.com originally so i did not search around for something you created. Why did you bother PM'ing me if you were going to take this right to the GB thread?

PS: i have no problems showing pictures of the mock up fit, when i do it, when the calipers arrive.

The thing is you are assuming that just becuase that the test bracket bolts to the BMW strut housing and possibly to the calipers does not mean it works. That drawing I did is actually incorrect and does not work properly. It's obvious you haven't put much time into this. But hi if people do not mind uneven brake pad wear and not even braking forces sure go ahead and buy his brackets. And I am well aware of the time it takes to write CNC code, as I machined almost 10 pairs of brackets out of aluminum test fitting them them till I had a working prototype, that drawing posted is an early drawing and is not the final design I ended up going with.

good job. Pics will be the ultimate proof and i'm happy to provide them, and i will have them WITH rotors within 2.5 weeks.

Well I look forward to seeing them, please post a straight on shot showing how well the caliper and the rotor line up between the brake pads

I'm actually trying to save you some future headaches of having some pissed off customers.

I just made my first aluminum proto, I'm off by about 10 thou for dead center. Did you get it dead on balls accurate? I'm hoping that everything will line up right on the second one. It's fucking hard to get it in one shot, I was using shims to get the initial measurement and still came a bit off. I'm planning on using 304 stainless, what did you use?

Realistically I could live with 10 thou, but want it closer.

                          Keep it slideways!!

yes I did after making multiple test brackets, I also had to make some modifications to the caliper body itself

on the outside of the caliper for wheel clearance by any chance?
Thanks for your input by the way Ely, my original plan was to go through with the whole kit and then do this, but i wanted to see if people would actually be interested to give me some motivation... i guess i should have stuck with the original plan...

No, I thought about machining down that nub but didn't. I did remove the mazda lettering but just did that to keep people guessing
