Hi everyone.
Sidemounts have been shipped and I expect to ship on Wednesday. I am late about a week on initial schedule, but at least the parts are machined and look great.
The pre-production price of $70usd + $15 shipping (10 business days - or $25/5 business days) is available for those whose name is on the list. For others, the price is $85 + shipping. I take Paypal + 4% at massivebrakes@gmail.com
Thanks

I will only take Paypal (+4%) and company checks in US dollars.
Send payment to massivebrakes@gmail.com
$70usd/set x number of sets + shipping cost + 4% Paypal fee.
Those whose name appear on the list have one week (until March 3rd) to benefit from the pre-production rate.
If your name was not on the list as of Sunday Feb 24, then the regular price per set is $85.
Here are the shipping costs thru Canada Post/US Postal Services. No duty or broker fee.
I don't deal with UPS or FedEx as you will receive a $40 broker fee.
I hope the list will reflect most shipping scenarios.

Hi guys.
As of Wednesday March 12, all sidemounts are sold. They were all shipped a week ago, and some of you may start getting them soon. I have taken a few shots displaying what the kit includes. Button head bolts are for the base and use nylon shims to protect the aluminum from scratches. Two of the bolts have a spring washer, to use on the rear bolts to center it in the hole. The slotted holes on the front are of the appropriate size, but the rear holes are a tiny bit too small. You may have to screw the bolts into them. or use a small round file. Sorry about that. The machine shop may have use an imperial bit instead of the requested metric size.
The usual width that the sidemounts can accomodate as-is is about 435mm. You can use shims between the rail and side mounts, or between seat and sidemount.
The big flanged nuts are crushed and will lock. No need to use Loctite.
I have included a bigger 12mm capscrew and nut for people wanting to keep the stock 3-point belt, in order to bolt the latch. Drilling the rear ward 10mm hole to 12mm is required. I also advise not to use a 3 point belt on a race seat as the 3-point system is not designed for this application. Indeed, Porsches that have raceseats and 3-point belts have a redesigned and approved inner mounting latch. Thanks for reading the disclaimer.

Detail of the small washer used for centering the bolt within the tab.

Got mine today, everything looks great!!! Thank you very much for setting this up, it was money well spent! I only wish I had ordered 2 sets. Will you be having more made in the future?Comment

I will make more in the future. After a couple of beta versions that were laser cut, this batch is the first that is CNC'd. There are two or three small details I will modify, and then I'll make way more than only 15 sets. Allowing shops to buy at wholesale price.
Here are the details that were not programmed/machined properly.
1- The slotted holes were supposed to be 8mm x 18mm but ended up being 8.3mm x 25mm.
2- The rear mounting holes were supposed to be 8mm and ended up being machined with a 5/16" bit (7.94mm)
My mistake, maybe, but the two lower holes are 1mm too high.
Anyway, when mounted on the exterior of the rails, the sidemounts can accomodate 435mm wide seats (at the mounting points). Anything more or less will require some shimming. But overall, the system is interesting as it is cheaper than the usual $140 aluminum mounts, and it allows to save even more money by recycling OEM sliders. While FIA requires 6mm aluminum, the Massive mounts are 6,4mm.
My experience with building racecar is that it takes about 5 to 6 hours to fabricate seat mounts for a car, using Sparco/Momo sliders and associated steel frames.
Any comments will be more than welcome in order to improve this product.

All sidemounts were shipped early last week within 24 hours. I guess that some will get them earlier because they live closer to the shipping point. I could have shipped a few days earlier but my sticker supplier ended being late. Stickers have the accessory branch logo on them. You can put one on the sidemount and one on your trunk lid.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
