Group Buy: M42 MarkD (chip now in testing, GB still pending)
Whoa calm down and give me at least 24 hours to post.
He said he's been trying to get it done but the OBD-2 project he just started about a month ago keeps grabbing all of his time. I don't blame him really, he must have spent like $45k on that equipment. Anyways for now I'll just call the GB OFF since it's taking so long. There will be introductory pricing when the chip is ready though, hopefully at this same level.

I'll start a new thread when it's ready to go.
im impatient
but damn that sucks. Ive been looking forward to this...
Thanks Rob, the guy is busy as hell, nothing I can do to push him harder for it. Trust me, I've tried.
how long would you think it would be until he releases a chip for the m42?
If its like a year, i mite just go with JC, but if its in the next couple months, im still down for the group buy.
Are there going to be more updates to the M20 chip?
94 octane would be cool, but only Sunoco sells 94 octane in this part of the US, and many cities don't have Sunocos.
How 'bout a 93 octane chip?
What do you think about making the GB for M20 + M42 so we can get the numbers up and really hook it up, when the M42 is ready of course?
Damn, the OBD-II project? I sent in a 380 chip to MarkD to get it developed so he could start pushing out more of his E30 chips for the 380 ECU. Looks like he's very busy though and I haven't been hearing from him. Best of luck to him, his chips sound kickass just by what I hear.

Hi M42 owners,
I just dropped in here when I saw a link to this thread on Bimmerforums. Sorry about not getting the M42 chip for the -175 DME ready, there are various reasons for that.
- I'm busy with work that was lined up before I said I'd develop this chip
- some of my contract firmware work is taking longer than expected (I took over a project that someone else abandoned)
I realise it's now late September so I'll work a bit more on this chip. I have spent a few hours on it yesterday. It would be much easier if I had a car to test with close by. I'll try to get at least a first cut ready to send to Rob in a few weeks.
