Are the m42 ones good for m40 SOHC engines as well? What is the difference between the different motor fitments? So if I swap engines will I need a new skid?

I have never had an M40 on the rack, but every thing I have seen, lead me to believe it will fit.

so wahts the distance between the plate and the pan on m20 cars? Ive only got about 2 inches best case from pan to ground. A skid would be nice, but not a steel ski
