How does it not help the lowered dude? It especially helps the lowered. It removes some ground clearance, but the distance between the pan and the plate will always be the same.

I'm waiting for someone to make a demonstration video of a skid plate installed and then taking a sledgehammer to the pan through the plate. if the pan survives, I'll buy five of them!

That is putting it to the test.looks like you would have definitely took the pan out. I hope you are happy with the performance of the plate.

I'm very happy with it . I can't tell you how much i appreciate it that you made them.

Ok where is my order for 5? If not when please refrain from posting on my threads.

Exactly. Not to mention, the slopeing nature of the plate will give you a little heads-up warning before you pull too far forward over that parknig curb or other object.

Is the fitment for a 1987 325is any different from the 1988+? I think the factory made 2 different skidplates for some reason. How about shipping price to Canada? PM Sent.

I just got my skidplate in the mail. I have to say that I am impressed with the packaging, the included hardware and instructions, and the quality of the product so far. I don't have it on my car yet so I can't comment on fitment, but it is a very solid piece. I found a factory BMW skid plate for sale the day after ordering this skid plate, and I was a little bit worried that this plate wouldn't be as strong as the factory one, but now that I have it in my hands I am not worried about strength at all, it is very solid, 10 gauge steel is thick stuff. I can't wait to find the time to install it on my car.
