just because I haven't posted in this thread, I wanted to go ahead an thank you for this amazing service. I've replaced 6 pans this summer (none of mine and one guy's twice). I recommended everyone of those guys to buy a skid plate from you, instead of paying more than double that every time. Good luck with sales, and thank you very much, sir.

just installed skid plate under M42 and ran into the problem where the oil pan is touching the skid plate, there is no gap between the two. The car is buzzing like ZINGER sewing machine...
All the other skid plates I installed before (on m20s and s50s) had at least 1" space. Any ideas ?

I will check my stock but I have sold 3 or 4 from that run. Please install a few flat washers under the plate on the PS bolts. this will space it down.

a pair of head bolt washers on each one is perfect.

I replaced both motor mounts today (what a pain in the ass) and then installed 4 washers under each P/S bolt, the rear of the skid plate fits good, but the front (where the oil drain bolt is located) is too close to the skid plate, I can't even fit my finger between the skid plate and the oil pan, the other skid plates I got before (for M20 and S50) had bigger gap and fit better, I wonder if other people who got M42 skid plate had the same issue?

This is the install I did on my M42 its a little tighter because the pan site so much further forward.
