Supporting vendor Ground Control Group Buy...with a twist.

Ground Control e30 complete suspension group-buy!

Tired of waiting for 9 other guys to get their stuff together? Tired of dealing with a “vendor” who then has to use YOUR money to pay for your new parts?

How about a group buy, with a minimum of one person? That’s right. If one person orders this kit, then everybody gets the same discount.

Ground Control currently has three distinct kits, available online and in stock, for the e30 BMW.

This first kit is a R3Vlimited special, that combines the low cost of the standard kit, while adding the benefits of the extensive research and testing done by Ground Control to have e30 custom valved struts and shocks manufactured specifically by Koni of Holland.

In addition, Ground Control has designed several sets of springs, manufactured by Eibach, to fulfill the requirements of an e30 fan living in the modern world. (g)

This kit is what you see pictured, however there are several choices.

    Camber plate choices:

Our most popular camber /caster adjustable plate is our “race plate”. The priority of this plate is a short height, maximum articulation to separate the spring and strut loads, and quick adjustments.

The second plate is similar, but has some noise isolation added. This is called the hybrid plate, and is suitable for an autocross or hot street car.

The third camber plate is called the street plate, and uses our ¾ inch Aurora center bearing (from our spec e30 plate) and carries the load from the spring and strut completely on the bearing. This reduces noise, but is not as rigid, so this style is not recommended for a true race car.

The fourth and fifth e30 camber caster plate kits are not an option with these kits. (for rally and bastard kits only, which are custom made.)

    Spring Choices:

Springs should be chosen to match the struts and shocks, and this is where Ground Control “SPGC Valving” really makes the suspension become a system rather than a collection of parts.

    F: 350*, 440*, 525*, 600, 650 are all possible with SPGC valving
    R: 475*, 525*, 625, 650, 700, 750, 800 are all possible with SPGC valving

*Special GC/Eibach high tensile wire, barrel spring to prevent coilbind compared to standard springs

    Strut options:

    1) 100% Stock bolt on kit.

    2) Remove perch, standard length

    3) Shorten housings, by owner or owners mechanic (instructions provide with kit)

    4) GC shortened, reinforced, powder coated, add $190

Ground Control strut and shock valving options:

    1) SPGC (valved for the e30 by Koni of Holland)

    2) Standard e30

Please only ask specific questions about this kit in this thread, all of the parts are in stock and ready to ship.
On weekends, you may not get a reply until Monday.

        PM me with your info.

Your springs should match your shocks as it is now, so you might want to leave things alone.

I can fill you in on details.

I'm interested in this "100% custom race kits, not prepackaged and designed for your car and track.
e36 strut kit, to install e36 suspension on an e30, featuring e36 strut housings specifically designed for the e30."

Price and recommended spring rates for an s50 powered car? Oh and I don't need camber plates either.

Jay, I think I never asked you guys.

My needs are simple: tire life.

Yes, I drive aggressively, but I want my back to stock spec, as I get 7,000 miles out of a set of tires and am just sick of it. This is NOT gonna be a race car...the stereo outweighs some of the board members here. I like it, its fun...but I am sick of eating tires.

Stock perches, KYBs, B+G springs on a daily driven car.

I have the BMW bolts to make the rear have adjustable toe/camber, what can I do up front?

                    Closing SOON!
