Yes they will work well for a 318is. Talk to Jay about spring rates that will suit your needs.

humm .. i am wondering what exactly do you have to do to modify the front strut? ... do you have a pdf of the process ... i am thinking about purchasing a set

on site it had a link .. but it is broken .. and just goes back to the site it was on

any suggestions on spring rate .... a weekend driver ... looking to get into autocrossing

Actually you dont have to modify anything on the front strut, but most people choose to shorten the housings and remove the spring perch while they are at it. Just like a 510. Speaking of 510..... Here is a pic of the control arms and 300zx Turbo struts for my own 510. Kinda looks like an e30M3 doesn't it? <e30 content right there

No, I just have printed instructions that we include when someone asks for the "short strut kit"

Ok, I fixed it, but it is actually a picture of the strut after we shorten and powder coat them.

I usually run the car pretty stiff for autocross, but since there are so many spring choices I customize everything when we put it together.
