GB: Schrick Cams

man, you guys wanting a 304, thats huge. Ive got a 293 with a stack of lift and its a big cam, hope you plan to run some high compression to take advantage of it, be near useless on the street.

what 293 do you have? that would be my other choice. also, schrick cams are pretty mild - compared to other M20 cam grinds, a schrick 304 isn't as agressive as it sounds.

293 from catcams. Or, well, it would have been if it didnt turn up broken in 2 pieces, so I made my own :)



Your 304 is probably the definition of aggressive (though there is a bigger option). It still has 7.7mm of valve lift but a really tight lsa, so its probably going to be peaky. 4mm of lift at TDC is pretty darn big, wait till you look at the lobe spacing in person.

Personally (nothing against the group buy or schrick products), if you want the lift of the 304 cam, Id probably look at a catcams 293 and benefit from the wider lsa.

It's OK man. Thanks anyways. We are waiting word from Dean, he it's back this week and it's trying to get a final deal with the Schrick man. Trsut me, I'm in a rush with this.

The dollar has dropped 15c waiting for this to happen, that might not seem like much, but to purchase both you are now talking $150 which isnt small change. Me too. I don't want o mix or mess up this thread with Schrick and Cat Cams, but way before I made thsi thread, Ii tried to contact Cat Cam to buy just one, but the shipping was too high that was going to be petty much the same as Schrick Cam. They replied like 1.5 weeks later, then I asked what if we could be like 10-9 people for the m20 and go this:

About the valve springs: when using PAC-D95009 double valve springs on STD retainers, you will need to use an extra shim (2-3mm) below the spring to get the correct spring load.
