Lof8, do you really expect Ary to go out and buy smaller tires to mount on a stock bodied car just so you can get an idea of fitment cause you cant comprehend how its going to fit. This isnt ground breaking wheel fitting, the wheels are going to fit just like all the other 16x9's at the same offsets. Get real.

I know I dont really have a reason to jump into this thread but your being a real douche..

so, Ary let you sell your spot in the gb and now you feel the need to defend him. thats fine with me. I'm just expressing some disappointment in the fact that Ary has had my $500 for 5 months and is unwilling to mount a smaller tire and take a picture on a non-m car. I'm sorry if this shouldn't disappoint me, but IT DOES. I guess I'll just keep waiting. rad.

btw, who were you implying would get their set of wheels before the other dozen? I don't understand that part.

Yup, I sold mine... But I wasn't complaining. Great deal came by and I couldn't say no. So you tell me what is the point of having a brand new set of wheels without a car to put them on?

And you missed the point entirely on your first quote. It was never implied for you to get the first set of wheels

I'm just asking him to mount a (smaller) tire and take pictures, not give the wheels away.

You've moved on and bought other wheels, right?

You're 20x more likely to scratch a wheel by taking a tire off than mounting it on. I've mounted my fair share of tires to learn that one already. The chances of it happening are very small, but any real company won't play with merchandise that a customer has already paid for. Those are his test wheels, so there's no name on them from what I would guess. It's unfair for one person to get a set of wheels before the other dozen.

It just seems that you are finding excuses to feed your tired-of-waitingness.

And I won't put words in Ary's mouth, but I'm pretty sure he is sponsored for those tires, so he never had to buy the 245s in the first place, as that's what he is expected to rock on his show car.

But that's my point of view. Maybe I'm too patient with certain things, but go figure.

Yes, I've seen lots of other 16x9s on non-ms. I want to see these ones. Its completely feasible at this point. Imagining them is what we've been doing for the last 5 months.

Ary also said that his tire guys are known for scratching wheels. I don't think shipping your tires to him to mount would be a great idea.

Also, I'm not rushed. I'm just tired of waiting. and this "I don't want to buy other tires" excuse doesn't help anything.

If I'm not mistaken, those 245s are the size that Toyo sent to him for his sponsorship. If he had to pay for those tires, I'm pretty sure he'd go with proper tires.

Trust me, I've waited so long I've gotten another set of rims in the meantime. But you're willing to tell me that you can't look around the board for what a 16x9 ET10 wheel looks like?

There's a whole thread devoted to these things!

Just close your eyes for a second and picture a BBS mesh instead of whatever wheel is pictured. Actually, if you really want:

16x9 +9 on stock fenders. I had 215/40/16 and no rubbing issues with my GCs or IE3s.

    Now picture some BBS mesh.

Seriously guys.... I do feel your pain about the wait. I really do. But arguing over being dissapointed because he mounted his newest wheels on his show car for exposure on sponsored tires?

    Come on.

Yes this has been taking forever, but at least Ary is alive and posting, unlike the whole sway bar fiasco from last year. Half of the posts on this thread are his (and with reason).

Unless your car is on jackstands and the cure for this economy rests in the delivery of those wheels, there is no point in rushing this.

Here's a legitimate suggestion for anyone who's really that rushed: buy your tires now, and have them delivered to Ary's shop. If Ary is cool with it I'm sure he'll mount them for you when the new wheels arrive and put them on an e30 with factory fenders, snap some pics to show you, and then send them your way. You paid shipping both ways, but at least now your tires are mounted and balanced. I'm sure Ary would not have much to oppose to this.

you could even get away with buying just 1 tire and moving the single wheel/tire around to give us an idea of fitment front and rear.

maybe you should have bought and mounted smaller tires to begin with. Nobody in this group buy has a 4-lug m3 like yourself. Why not be representative of your customer's cars with this test fit 5 months into the group buy?

If you put them on a non-m, us staggered folk can make an informed decision about et10 vs et20 for the rears.
