I used to have a set of LS 7.5" and remember they did have some room. But to what extend, I don't know. I just emailed you the profile a minute ago. Let us know how the fit is.
For now, the Dynapro "only" has Wilwood pads. A, B, E, BP10, BP20. The E pads is a bit dusty (but non-coorosive), lasts a long time with medium grip and is extremely smooth on rotors. I see it as the perfect HPDE pad. Install and forget them.
If i want the Dynapro caliper as initially offered, can i still get it? I like the caliper enough to stick with Wilwood pads for the time being. That was the one in the linked picutre right? So what was the deal with the Hawk pad that was gonna come with the Dynapro?
Okay guys. Here's how it works. I have to purchase 24 sets of calipers to get a decent price. Therefore, it will be either Dynapro or Dynalite. Not both. I will let you decide, in the light of the info posted here, what you want.
One other option is that I hope the brackets are not already into production as we speak. I can slightly tweak the design so that they actually fit the Dynapro calipers. Then, if a Dynalite caliper is fitted to the bracket, then the pads will be only 1.7mm lower (1/16") which really is no big deal, and probably even much less than the untouched border on your stock rotors. Would that suit everyone?
I strongly vote for the Dynapro, why design a new brake kit for a caliper that is going out of production? Also, if the bracket is made to fit the Dynapro, then an upgrade to a Dynapro 6 caliper is possible, which is my plan. The Dynapro will have pads available from everyone, seeing as it's the Dynalites replacement.
Thinking about it, this is make or break for me. Count me out if the brackets are made for the Dynalite.
Will you be working on a "SBI" type e36m3 adapter for e30m3 5-lug set ups? I drove a car (M3 Ryan's m3) with them on, and I was SO impressed with the stopping power - not to mention, cheap rotors, and pads. Only down side was the need for 17" wheels. Is that something on your radar?
Also - do you have a recommendation on brake lines that you really trust?

Georges. I don't favor sliding calipers. If stopping power is the goal, then HT10 pads on stock e30 M3 brakes will do the job. But if modulation and feeback are required, then nothing beats fixed calipers.
I will let you decide, in the light of the info posted here, what you want.

Well, that makes me happy, but do you want to wait and get others opinions? Sorry to word my original post so strongly, but I'm worried if the brackets are made for the Dynalites that there will be clearance problems with the DP6's, which is my goal.
Georges. It is difficult to favor a brand of braided brakelines over another one. But what you should require is a brake line that has a PVC lining (or any other material) over the braiding. It is even a DOT requirement. It allows to protect the internal Teflon tube from the corrosive abrasion of the stainless braiding with brake dust, dirt and sand. I another feature I like to see is that fittings be crimped over a rubber sleeve, then over the stainless braiding. That allows for a better grab over the line.
I would change non-PVC-covered lines every two years, and every 5 years if covered with a PVC lining.
BTW be aware that DOT-compliant and DOT-approved are two distinct things. Manufacturers of DOT- approved products shell some mney for having their stuff tested and approved. While the manufacturers of DOT-compliant products only follow guidelines as edicted by DOT. BTW DOT is not eally a stringent standard.
When I had custom brakelines manufactured, they were DOT-compliant, manufactured by hand, and pressure tested, one by one. They were just too expensive to manufacture for the common user. Especially when Chinese brakelines can be wholesaled for $6 per line... Then why I don't sell Chinese-made braided lines? Simply because I don't want to be responsible for a product I can't control the quality. One customer kills himself. I have one big headache...
I would also vote Dynapro for the reasons Q-ship mentioned. Pad selection may be limited now, but it should come around. And if Wilwood already makes quality pads, I don't see it as a big issue.

People who will buy new or used Dynalite calipers on eBay will be able to use the brackets. The pads will only be 1.6mm lower. No big deal. This is the thickness of a medium washer.
