I will start asking for payment in two weeks. Either for full kits or for brackets only.

I wonder who wants the kit at $600 (with regular rotors) or the one at $660 (with the more expensive rotor with slots, and venting on the back face). I will also include 3mm alumium spacers as promised. I won't sell spacers alone. I experienced too many losses shipping them.

just to make sure i have it right. the kit is being offered with the dynapro calipers, but you can use the dynalites also (they will just sit 1.7 mm lower)

am i right? just wondering since i already have a pair of dynalites. with the 1.50 pistons and the availability if the same in 1.75 bore also

I definitely want the Racing Brake rotors, however, I will probably have to wait til January.

I wish not to envoke the wrath of the girlfriend by forgoing Christmas for her while I spend ~$700 on a BBK for the car.

I'm pretty sure I'd wake up a eunich.

"Eunuch" are males to whom the gonads have bee surgicaly removed at a young age. In your case, I would prefer using the word "monk". As you may end-up with a similar sexual life... But hey, it's not a Christmas sale. It is a Thanksgiving special.

do we need to pick pads as well or are you planning on supplying one pad type for simplicity's sake Lee?

Any idea on the weight of this kit vs stock?

Pardon me if that's a dumb question.

Don't really have time to weight items in the kit, but a customer from Australia weighted the bigger e30 Race kit and it ended up being lighter than stock. He even posted pictures on this forum 9 months ago.

Dynapro calipers are 2.8lbs vs Superlite 5lbs.
Dynapro pads are much lighter (smaller and shallower)

i am sorry, but this may be another stupid question,
what is the price for the rotors and adapters if i have the calipers?
is that the $660 or $600 respectively for plain rotors?

thanks for answering my other question on the calipers too

thanks again for helping with my vicodin induced questions!

The price will be $600 w/plain rotors and $660 w/slotted ones.
Such kits include the adapters, Dynapro calipers, pads, hydraulic fittings (1/8npt to M10 x 1) and machined rotors.

                      Brackets are $160 per set.

                      Hydraulic fittings not sold separately.

Honestly, I don't want to start making half combos. But rotors will be available ready-machined.

BTW For people who have enquired about a 4 pot caliper to upgrade the rear one, while keeping the stock rotor. Hmmm... Not physically possible. I must find a 280mm rear disc with a 160mm handbrake drum. I doubt it will come from a VW as they have very different rear set-ups. Basically, bearings are part of the rear discs.
                          the Z1 has 280x10!

want me to order a disc (cheap ones) and send one to you?

lee - I WANT these for my touring beater, but i was going to use my old 325 calipers and a 25mm MC and call it good. hmmm decisions decisions!

                            Hi Eric

I asked Alex Lipovich to measure the depth of that rotor. It might be different from an e30 rear disc. But honestly, if you can get a cheap aftermarket one (if such a thing exists) I'll be glad to take on your offer. Let me know how to proceed. I have already made a mock-up for the rear brackets and it is easy.

I have seen on another forum an Aussie using Supra ma61 rotors on the rear. The pcd needs to be changed and the center bore needs to be opened up, but I think that the dimensions for the e brake to work properly are there. As far as the dimensions of the rotor itself, I don't recall, but they are larger and vented....

Thanks for the tip. E brake is 160mm in diameter and about 25mm in width. Honestly, seeing how 300mm.de redrills their rotors, I don't find the process very sexy. I will see how the Z1 rear disc does.
