I'm surprised at all the people willing to run CF doors on street cars with no protection ie. cage door bars. Rice at its best I guess.
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
I'd be interested in doors (e30 m3) as would a good number of other e30 m3 owners since the only source for CF doors that I know of right now are over seas, and the shipping really kills those deals
CF doors are $1.4k per set would be great. Nonetheless, for safety reasons, I suggest they be used only on racecars. As Paintpro21 mentionned, they already are available in Europe, but the currency change and freight usually kill any deal.
Have you checked the benefits of carbon-kevlar over simple carbon? Carbon-kevlar would be a bit more resistant to small impacts, and more compliant too.
These are indeed NOT recommended on the street. We're building these for our race car. I didn't mean to imply that these should be used on the street. There is no side impact protection with these doors.
Do you know how the E30M3 and regular E30 doors might vary besides the obvious molding differences?
I would be really interested in a set of quality CF front fenders, especially if they could be made 3/4 - 1" wider. Also a front lip/splitter for the M-tec II (or the entire piece as the stock ones are hard to find in good shape). I'm pretty sure you could get 10+ people in for a group buy on those.
Not so much doors - due to the safety concerns mentioned above.
