    Sorry, I've been so busy with my other work also. Did you see the discussion on the previous page? I made a chip for the 835 head and 027 DME, but not for the 731.

    Yes the 173, 380, and 52x only have one board. Find one of those, instal chip, and you're "off to the races"

    You mean you cant get the case open or the internals dont look exactly like this when you open the case?

    153 has the same internals as the 173 i think, as well as the 380. but the 524 has an extra circuit board connected by ribbon cable. i also understand that they are all compatible except the 153.

    if you cant get the case open, arent you prying the aluminum tabs back and then pulling the casing open? its really easy.
    if you cant seperate the two boards... i dont have any experience with this first hand but i cant imagine it should take much.

    Top board? Are you sure you have a 173 ECU and not a 153 ECU?

    If you have a 153 ECU, you'll need to get a 173 ECU instead. Easy enough to find either on eBay or in the classifieds here.
