You are correct. Fronts would definitely be tighter. There is quite of bit room at the rears. Pictures are crappy and the camera just wouldn't focus right. I couldn't compress the suspension as much as I wanted either.

The car will look so amazing with these on that now I need to back it up with power. 318is just doesn't have the beef to back the looks!1 ;-)

I think I am going to start looking for a S50 engine.

        David,

Glad to hear you are really happy with the wheels. Hyper black is a cool finish. The packaging is over protected, just how I like it. I package them in pairs with the faces in toward each other, and double boxed like that to protect them from the delivery guys who throw boxes around. The rim protector ring and hair net is sweet. save all that stuff if you ever anticipate selling a set of used wheel. It's a million times easier then trying to protect the rim lip with bubble wrap.

I figured there would be delays with production as there always is some kind of set back. The wheels arrived basically 2 weeks later then anticipated. I knew what matters most to people is transparency and communication when there are set backs. The next step for me is supporting people who run into fitment problems.

My site should be launched by the end of the week. I'm always looking for images of customer cars to post up in our gallery. It would be greatly appreciated if I could collect photos from everyone willing to post them up.

And for those who really like their wheels, I'd like to ask you to please post a review on the site once it's up or on our facebook page. (I'll link to the site once it's operational). I want to keep producing wheels via GroupBuys to cater to niche market needs. As we all know, the larger bureaucratic business aren't willing to put the time in, or under estimate the market.

It's been a pleasure putting this groupbuy together. Even in this economy and for a tight budget car, we were able to get this unique fitment produced. It will be a long time till we ever see another 17x8" track oriented wheel for the e30 again.

        Thanks again,

        -Eddy

I opened the amazingly well packaged multiple boxes (thanks Eddy!) and found nothing but more cardboard housing the wheels. I quickly took the top one out and proceded to quickly unwrap the layer of plastic and the clever plastic rim protector, and finally the hairnet. HyperBlack is THE hottest color on the planet.

I thoroughly love the ever so slight concave the face has, and how deep the lug area is recessed. Picking one of these up and you can just feel how well it is made. It is also quite light. The center caps are also really neat and go well with the HyperBlack. No Roundels for my set! I cannot wait to get these bad boys mounted. Right now, one of them is chilling on my bed.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied thus far with the expeditious lead time on this Group Buy. Only a few months of patient waiting and mostly forgetting, then remembering and getting excited again.

I would like to thank Eddy for his hard work on giving us steady updates on what was going on with these wheels. I would also like to thank him for putting me in at the last second, and making an extended deadline in case I needed it. Props Eddy.

It's all good. I ordered the same color so I wasn't missing much ;) . They're still a great color and it's pretty cool to see people getting their orders and everyone's happy so far.

Hey Eddy, do you have the info on the BMW stickers for the center caps? Or do you know if you can order OEM center caps that fit the wheels? Nothing against the Apex logo, I'm just not a big fan of the carbon fiber look and wanna slap some roundels on there.

Eddy, awesome photoshop. Thanks again for setting up this wheel group buy for our massively overlooked cars!

Everyone who has posted pics, thanks! You're really making me reconsider selling mine (both a good and bad thing haha)

That's an idea. Then you'll only have like 4 other sets of wheels to get rid of that won't fit the new car lol... Good luck on both fronts though, you know I'm just messin with you
