So time for an update I think...

On the 2nd Sept Chris sent me a polite pm about all this, expressing his concern over it all and his intent to make right. On the 3rd Sept he promised me a refund, and I promised that should the parts turn up I'd pay him....5 days later...still nothing. Sent him a pm on the 5th...no reply. I'd be happy if he'd just make good on at least one of his promises (i.e. my parts to turn up, or the refund). The bottom line is more than 4 months and no parts, and no promised refund. 2 minutes on paypal a few days ago would've got us a lot closer to sorting this mess out.

I will be headed to the beach on the next few weeks (19th), and I'm making serious plans on detouring to meet this guy. Anyone, who has contact with him, please let him know that two big angry Russians are coming for a visit, unless he makes good on his shipments or money back.

I am impressed he actually had the manhood to get back in touch with you. Judging from past history he seems to bail at any sign of things going south. He still has yet to contact me in any way shape or form.

My theory is that Christoble is really someone else's psycho ex girlfriend taking out her revenge on us by breaking hearts and giving nothing but empty promises. I can't think of anyone else who would act this way.

What are your theories on Christoble's true form?

To be honest I'm finding Chris's behaviour just strange...from what I can tell Top Speed Performance & Fabrication is a family business (Chris and Bryan both of the same last name) that has put a lot of effort into promoting the business (they sponsor the Ford Focus forum Focaljet http://forums.focaljet.com/ and they're even on facebook, twitter, myspace etc etc etc)...so why start screwing people over and not making any serious attempts to set things right??? It makes no sense...unless the business is in some kind of financial trouble or something. Even if that's the case, why dig the hole deeper?

It'll be great, Aptyp, if you manage to visit the shop and make some sense of it all.

Edit: I think Bryan actually owns the place...he might be the next port of call on trying to sort this out.

Chris has just pm'd me (and I've replied with the details he's requested) promising to make the paypal payment tomorrow when he's back in the office.

Time for a more positive update....I have recieved an e-cheque from Chris through Paypal for the refund. In 3-5 days I will confirm to the world whether the cheque clears and if all is good.

We're not totally out of the woods, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

There was a Top Speed in Charlotte when I was into the V8 scene more. They were complete POS' as well. Just makes one wonder if this is the same company, both NC based, both completely terrible businesses.

IMO there is no redemption for his business at this point. I will never buy anything from them based on the problems the two of you have faced through no fault of your own. It is not a good business practice to screw your customers over. I know not everyone will always be happy but there is little excuse for 4 months of not taking care of a problem when one party is actively seeking a solution..
