Very true as long as you can prove it was fraud. There's a broad scope there. I wish you the best on this, but honestly sometimes money outweighs principle. I sympathize with you on this one as I've been burned on a couple of occasions. I've also tasted the sweetness of recovering my money. Its a touchy situation even though it is an interstate transaction because of the loopholes in it. I'm currently pending a case for 2 years in Houston where a guy ripped me for $650. Its cut and dry but I can't do anything until I can be there in person. I have to be there in person to file the petition before the court and then I have to be there in person to attend the trial. 2 trips from Germany = $1800. Obviously $1800>$650. Even though I'd love to rub his nose in it and stick him for the additional fees to recover my money.... you can't milk a rock.
Good luck man. Perhaps its better to make rational decisions when you aren't so pissed off about it. Hopefully he'll fix this and you won't have to cause a headache for each of you.
