Im glad I read this, I was considering making a decent order from them thinking id recieve the product within 2 weeks.. if this happened to me, I wouldnt even be able to run my wheels for the summer.

I am looking for a good company for spacers, Maybe custom? I need one side to fit my borbets (64mm hub) and other my e30 (57.1mm hub) and possibly do 10mm up front and 15mm in the rear. If anyones got any recommendations pm me, otherwise hope OP has more resolved.

Try 8380, they might have what you need.

I just wanted to post up here my recent experience with both e30Rob and Motorsport Tech.

- Rob was a great help in determining exactly what I need. Communication was great, always got back to me when I sent him a message.
- Junior was extremely helpful, always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner.
- There was a hold-up since they were out of my size slugs, which I was made aware of early with expectations.
- Shipping was quick, packaging great.
- Adapters came out great. Easy installation, perfect clearances and overall a great product. I am very pleased with my transaction and wouldn't hesitate to do business again.

Your sorely mistaken sir. NEVER have i claimed it to be MY company in fact on multipule occasions i have said WE implying that i work with another company which has been CLEARLY stated in many places.

You say we ripped you off yet you NEVER returned the order. Name a single company on the market that will exchange a part with out the incorrect part being returned first OR charging you for the part again an shipping said part out, once the incorrect part is received then refunding you.

Simply put your order was NOT returned, WE never received YOUR return, YOU have NO proof that YOU returned it. There is nothing i can do now as it has been more than 6 months. I have mentioned to you on several occasions what i need from you in order to help you any further any non of that was accomplished....YOU have tied my hands sir an to boot bad mouthing an calling someone names dosent exactly help either. Not that you doing that would affect me helping you but simply put.......

That's the same thing that happened to RickSloan, who I bought my first set of adapters from second-hand. They had the wrong slugs with them.

My second set that I ordered new from Rob were perfect.

As mentioned in my previous post, I ordered:

(2) 5x114.3 -> 4x100, 35mm thickness
(2) 5x114.3 -> 4x100, 30mm thickness

Hubcentric on both sides.

I will post back about the slugs. He told me the two hole slugs are actually drilled to fit 5x114.3 and 5x112, that's why there are two holes.

It will still be a few months likely though. Wheels are going to the powdercoater tomorrow, then still need tires and coilovers.

Got my adapters today, they are exactly as they should be. Thickness/bolt pattern/hub bore..............all exactly as ordered and fit as intended.

Only one small hiccup, I was sent one incorrect floating slug for the adapters. I called Motorsport just a few minutes ago and spoke to Junior. He said he would mail out the correct slug today.

Overall, I'm happy with the order. These are nicely made pieces.

Which adapters did you get? Let me know how the slugs work for you, they are a pain in the ass for me. (I probably was sent the wrong ones as well, but Junior claimed there was nothing wrong with them)

Yeah.... my tolerances on the hub centric rings I bought from Rob were very tight. But, since I was dying to have my new wheels on for H2O... I sanded them down (not enough though) and forced them on the hub. Should be a blast taking the wheels off... and I may have to destroy the rings to get them to come off the hub. Despite the fact I decided to keep them instead of sending them back, they never came out 100% and as ordered.

it is true that M-T was making adaptec's stuff until earlier this year. M-T also had their own separate business that entire time as well, so if you ever dealt with M-T employees you were dealing with them and if you dealt with matt or brad at adaptec (or any of their dealers) you were dealing with a separate company. similar products, very different ethos. ;)

the reason for not offering anything larger than 30mm in the design 2 style adapter is due to the improved design. the old design with the floating slug just isn't terribly well thought out or safe, especially as you get into larger widths.

I just ordered (4) adapters from Junior @ Motorsport Tech (Adaptec couldn't make the adapters I needed thick enough), I should have them some time next week I think.

1 pair 30mm 5x114.3 (60.1mm) -> 4x100
1 pair 35mm 5x114.3 (60.1mm) -> 4x100 (adaptec said in this bolt pattern 30mm is as thick as they could do)


So we will see what they look like when they get here.

Adaptec is the brand of spacer/adapters. Companies such as Motorsport Tech and 8380 Labs are making/selling their products. I know motorsport is doing the work in house, not sure how other companies do it.

adaptec makes everything they sell. we (8380 labs) are a dealer. we do not manufacture anything, we help you figure out what you need and take your orders, then send them over to adaptec to be made.

i'm an e30 guy, so i can give you guys a little more insight into your setups and what you're trying to do since i'm very familiar with the platform.

a niche is born. :D

p.s. motorsport-tech is a separate company making their own stuff. no relation to adaptec.
