    Low.daily --- NEVER AGAIN.

sold this guy a late model rear valance, it took a bit longer to show up than he expected so he thought I never sent it. He requested a refund through paypal while I was on vacation and didnt have a phone with me so I never saw the emails from paypal.

Long story short; the valance showed up a few days later and i'm out $80 and a valance. Very rude with his emails too.

I'll never do business with this person again, and I strongly recommend no one else does either.

Did he resend the money once he got it?

I tried explaining why I didnt get the emails and he basically said it was bs. And after hassling back and forth with him he sent back $80. Claiming he had to rent a truck, rive a long distance, and spend roughly $100 to pick it up.

Edit: I take back what I said since the other side of the story arrived.

let me re state my question.

Before you sent the part did you notify him that you would not be available by email or phone during the shipping duration?

Could you clarify a bit longer? was it two days five days?

You never said you were on vacation and never said you had no phone when i sent you the money for the part. All you said was you were in school and your email wasnt working after a month. I was very nice in sending messages to you. I patiently waited about a month for the part and you never sent me messages for a month as well. You call yourself a seller which does not respond to any messages? If you aren't going to respond messages after 2 week "2 week" i repeat myself then why sell anything on here. So dont bullsh*t anyone saying that you told me you didnt have any way in responding to me before you even sold me the valance. Also i had to pay for a car rental and tolls to pick up the valance because of the mess up you made, we both agreed in sending it through Fedex and i paid you to send it through fedex not greyhound. Dont come blaming me and telling every other seller that i am a sh*ty buyer because im not

I thought that there might be more to the story. Low would you care to post up your emails to prove your point?

                  (lawyer hat: ON)

Hmm, sounds like OP may be at fault in this situation. regardless of circumstance, no one should EVER wait a MONTH for a paid for part to arrive WITHOUT ANY CONTACT. OP, you will have a hard time justifying that one, sorry.

(to the OP) if you even had a slightest inkling that you would not be able to converse with the buyer after payment, that is the FIRST thing you should have said.

Also, if there was an agreement to send via FedEx, it should have gone through FedEx. The buyer pays for the shipping, therefore he gets the shipping he wants, not what the seller wants to shave a couple bucks.

I think to be 100% fair about the whole situation,

                      seller must:
                      1) show messages between both parties from the beginning INCLUDING AGREED SHIPPING METHOD
                      2) prove that he actually went on vaca (hotels/plane tickets or whatever that shows date he claims he wasn't home)
                      3) show proof of when the item was shipped (to exclude him as a cause of delay)

                      buyer must:

                      1) show messages between both parties from the beginning INCLUDING AGREED SHIPPING METHOD

                      2) show proof that a rental car was actually needed to pick up item and/or other expenses related to picking up item (showing date)

                      3) date when item arrived. if shipped via greyhound, show when item got to greyhound and when picked up.

Overall, I think it's a miscommunication between both parties and both had some sort of failure in their part. Buyer got the item so I think some refund is due to seller. The amount paid for item+shipping minus the difference between fedex/ups shipping and greyhound shipping.

We're all grown ups. No need to be bashing on one another especially in a public forum like this.

R3V should start up its own internal bureau of investigations.

your email wasn't working, you were at school, you were on vacation, your dad shipped it, etc., etc....which one is it? before you start lying get your story straight and stick to one ... i shouldn't have given you no money back for the hassle i went through, on top of that you agreed to everything after the sh*t hit the fan. don't be mad because you got what was coming to you... learn to do things right... one month asking you for a tracking number and greyhound telling me nothing has arrived yet ... what i'm suppose just trust you with my money?
