I don't know about overpriced merchandise but their shipping quotes are fair.

maybe it's because I always see it talked about, but I 100% thought pelican was a sponsor.
I'll try to not make them my first choice anymore.

I've ordered ton of stuff through them and shipping never seem to bother me.

        Pelican is great, but expensive

RMEuropean has excellent prices, free shipping over $75 I believe and have been good to me over the years....sometimes they don't have exactly what I'm looking for but I also check them and my dealer first....

Did not realize that post would create such a buzz... Well I ordered a Master cylinder for the clutch through them only to realize I over paid. (MY FAULT) then paid a ridiculous shipping charge. Then when the Master Cylinder ended up being faulty 2 months later they told me I could send it back and they would bench test it. They proceeded to give me 2 options. Option 1. if it tested good then they would either through it away for me (oh gee thanks) or option 2. if it tested good then they would send it back to me... well sorry but I wanted it returned because it was a faulty part and I really didnt have time to let the car sit for 2 weeks while my master cylinder was being tested at their discretion. (my plan was to buy a master from pelican and when it arrived I would pull the other one off and send it back to turner, rather then having a downed e30)... does anyone see my point? and they were not very helpful

What do you expect? OEM replacement parts isn't their business, it's extra money on the side. This is just icing on the cake, a service to help serve their core customers and keep everything under 1 roof if possible. They do service work in-house, so these purchase accounts already exist for them. When they purchase those parts from whatever warehousing company (probably GAP or WorldPac), for online sales - they're covering any returns costs. If it's not defective when it goes back to GAP or WorldPac or whoever, then THEY eat the cost. I don't think they'll be saddened if you buy your master cylinder from somebody else that has a very tiny margin.

What do I expect? I expect customer service... I expect them to take care of me and make my life as their customer as easy as possible so in the future I come back to them and keep spending money. I do not give a f*ck what part it is, if it is faulty then they should help me get my car back on the road... secondly there is no guarantee they will be able to duplicate the problem I was having. Thirdly they do not eat the cost, the part goes back to worldpac as a "warranty part" and they rebuild it. They should care about losing any type of business.

If the part is not defective - yes, they do eat the cost. Apparently you've not dealt with a parts wholesaler before for online sales - I have. It's not so cut and dry. Master cylinders either work or they don't. If they bench test it and it's not leaking, or not pulling any air into the system - then the master is fine. Sorry dude, I think you're going off the deep end on this one, for something they can't control. They aren't the parts manufacturer, designer, or even wholesaler - they're just a reseller, and as I said - this isn't their core business. You seem like the kind of customer thats a major pain in the ass, and if I were them, I'd happily wave goodbye too. Losing business like yours SAVES them money in the long run.

It's pretty straight forward. If the customer is not happy with the product and the product does not function properly then it goes back to the "reseller" I've worked for a "reseller". We ask "whats wrong with it" thats all, we do not question what the customer tells us because we know if it goes back to WorldPac they will test it and rebuild it and send it out again (no cost to the "reseller"). Sorry did I mention the ridiculous shipping fees?

:shrug. Whatever man. Use Pelican then, I've always been VERY happy with Pelican. I'm sure Will won't fret over losing you as a customer :)

Once or twice. I don't like dealing with them. The 2 times I've had a question about something, they were no help whatsoever. And they apparently can't do multiple marques with the same person over the phone. Called once asking about a Volvo part, then asked about a BMW part, and they couldn't help me. I'd stay stick with Pelican.

So, just a general retailer, not a specialist. I suppose as long as parts needed are known then it'll work to (possibly) save $$$. Thanks for the info!

I've used Turner, Pelican, and FCPeuro. Sorry apparently turner is REALLY good at stuff they are REALLY good at ... anyway pelican is the place to go for oem parts that are reasonably priced compared to turner. FCP is also good for simple OEM stuff. Sorry just was not impressed with Turner when they were not willing to help me out in my situation.
