Ive spent about 4k at TMS for the last 3 years: dont even think I've paid for shipping (not much at least)

Advice: make a good relationship with your sales rep; mine takes care of me

I have had a mixed experience with them. I ordered pistons for my 24v build and they sent me the wrong ones. Once we figured out what was wrong (S52 pistons sent when I wanted M52 pistons) the correct ones were ordered. They didnt tell me that the new pistons had to come from Wiseco directly and were going to take ~6 weeks. They were supposed to take 6 weeks, but I got them in 3, I think. It was earlier than promised. So it was a rollercoaster of frustration and not knowing whats going on. I just ordered more parts from them (new rings for the pistons) and they were supposed to be AT the machine shop by last Friday (with 3 day shipping paid for on my end), but when they hadn't sent the parts on Thursday I called and had to get an update and basically the machine shop will get the parts about 2 weeks later because of the delay and the holiday. My orders have been frustrating because I dont get updates when things are late, & I didnt get call backs when they were promised either. I dont think I would do business with them again if I dont have to. Like was said earlier, Id rather support those who support us, and have always had a good experience with Blunt, even though Ive never gotten a "special" package

Turner is a great company, and Will Turner is all around good people, and they're one of the only shops in the country building pro-race level cars and running BMW factory drivers worldwide. For a track car, I'd take the Turner J-Stock suspension any day of the week. Track & race proven. As others have said, they have some one-off stuff you can't get elsewhere. For OEM BMW parts, I shop Pelican. Wayne's the man, and the 1 time I did have an issue, I think they knew about it and alerted me before I even knew. Track car parts though, Turner & Bimmerworld are both good bets. If you're looking for something different, lots of smaller companies with other niche products to choose from.

I like how the OP made this thread, was extremely vague with his experiences and then has not been back to comment again. lol Very useful review.

Nevertheless, yes, TMS is doing just fine.
the F1 was at bimmerfest in Maryland this year.

I am pretty dedicated to Pelican. I have ordered a lot of parts from them this year, $3000 worth. Their website is really easy to use, shipping is quick, and they ALWAYS have parts in stock. I havent ordered a lot of performance parts from them, mostly just stock replacements. I have found a few parts thats they were priced a bit higher, but I ordered it from them anyway, because one stop shopping is much better. Plus I get free shipping almost everytime.

My only small complaint is you cant sort out the 4 cylinder parts or the two different 6 cyl cars. So when you look at gaskets etc you end up getting about 3-4 results. A minor complaint though.
Haven't you ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls? They work like that.

Wait, I'm confused - are you saying Will doens't own the McLaren F1's, or Will doens't own Turner MotorsportS??

That wasn't an F1, it was an MP4-12C.

Will is the founder and president, he does not own a McLaren F1. The F1(s) associated with TMS belong, or belonged to, Frank Selldorff.
