    Bavarian Auto Recycling

I have now ordered parts from Bavarian Auto Recycling twice, and have spoken with Nelson both times. They are a great company to deal with and offered me great prices on everything.

Oh yes, I plan to use them in the furture, I highly reccomend them

      Bavarian Auto Recycling

I noticed they had an '89 325i for sale as a parts car on Ebay. I've been searching for Zinno plastic bumpers for my '88, so I called to ask what color red the car was. They told me that they 'could not do that'. I asked why, and they said they did not guarantee any color matching. I proceeded to tell them i don't need you to guarantee a color match, just tell me which red it is. Zinno? Brilliant? what is it? He just told me again that they could not do that, and that if I ordered the bumpers they would try and get them from that car, but that they may be from any car on the lot! he was like 'yeah they may be gren, or white, but we can try to get them from that car'. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?! How can you not fucking get bumpers off of the one car I'm looking at? why does it have to be any fucking car on your lot? what a shitty way to run a business, who the fuck buys from them? not to mention, why would I pay $2500 for a parts car! there shit is so overpriced I can't believe it. Fuck these guys, they are so rude.

I was thinking the same thing about their cars prices but I am pretty sure they are not trying to sell the cars themselves. They have them so high priced because they just want to do parts and not entire cars. You aren't going to buy that car for $2500 and they know that.

Did you ask them, I know you want zinno, but tell them you want red bumpers? If they come out non zinno at least they are red.

I said I was looking for zinno bumpers, and asked what color red the parts car was. And they told me they could not tell me what color it was. I was like, 'can you find out for me? like, just go look?' and the guy just said, 'no we can't. If we sell you bumpers, they may be off of any car in the yard. I can try and get you those bumpers, but they could be green or white or any color.' How hard can it be to just check what color your own parts car is? And why the fuck can't you sell me bumpers off of a particular car? That just seems like a terrible way to run a business.

the guys you call and speak to on the phone aren't the same dudes in the back pulling the parts. I've bought a couple items from them before, but not over the phone.

i've heard about them not being able to guarantee color match and that's logical, but i don't know why they can't sell you a set that you want...

i had some problems with the guys at bavautorecy....i bought a 95 m3 rack over the phone, and told them i would pick it up. they said 2m, b/c the are busy and wont be able to pull it. well next day i called them, and it still wasnt ready...ok, now its the weekend, and monday i give them a call again, still not ready. its thursday now, 1 week has passed and i call them in the morning, they say "its ready, come on up". so i drive 1.5hours up there into the 105+ heat in my no A/C e30, and when i get there i tell them what im there for, and the have me waiting for about 30min, then a manager comes out and tells me they sold my part... WTF!!! i yelled and ranted b/c i ALREADY PAID FOR IT OVER THE PHONE, and they charged me a week before i came to get it. the manager says hes really sorry, and that he can sell me a Z31.9L rack instead for the same price...i cant wait any more, and im not driving up again, so i say OK, then he says they will send it to me via courier next day. well i got the rack, and its in good condition, but overall i am not pleased with my transaction.

i have dealt with these guys many times in the past, and didnt really have any problems before. will i deal with them again, MAYBE. HOWEVER i will be looking at other sources before going to Bavarian Auto Recycling again...

i haven't heard one good thing about these guys, and they dont respond to their ebay listing either. I'll probably stay away, unless it's the last part in the world and i need it.

It took me over 5 phone calls to followup on a 4.10LSD they claimed to have, however after nobody ever called me back, and numerous attempts to get status updates, I gave up.

On top of that, they also quoted me 600 + Core for a used Getrag 260 tranny with unknown miles!

I'm willing to spend money on good parts, but that is absurd!

Bavarian Auto Recycling sucks a big one

My front input shaft bearing went out on my transmission Saturday night, so I decided to gorder one from Bavarian Auto Recycling on Monday. When I spoke with Chris, the sales person that sold me the transmission, he said that they had one on the shelf for me. He then proceeded to tell me that it would be shipped out the next day on Tuesday. So I figure sweet, I'll have my tranny at worst by Monday if shipping takes a while. :D

Well I call back this morning to get a tracking number on the tranny, to tell my buddy at the shop when they could expect it. To my surprise the representative tells me that the car with the transmission had just come in this morning, and that the tranny would be taken off of it today! Chris wasn't available, so I asked the guy why the one on the shelf hadn't been sent out on Tuesday? He proceeded to tell me that they hadn't had a ZF 320 in stock until today! :hitler:

So I'm a little agitated, and I call Chris's extension again and leave him a nice message about how I felt about his horrible customer service. The fucker lied to me! If they didn't have the transmission, and he would've told me that it would be in on Thursday, then I wouldn't have cared. However, he either saw the wrong tranny on the shelf and tolsd me it was the right one, or the proper trans was never on the shelf to begin with. :curse:

The rep I talked to said that the tranny would be out tomorrow, because they wouldn't have it ready for today's 12pm shipment!

This tranny better be worth the extra wait, if something's wrong with it I'm going to raise hell!

So much for their supposedly great customer service, and fast shipping.

I will update when I get the tranny.

I hate that place as well. I lived in the Bay Area, drove there once on my way up the hill. The tools that work there don't give a rats ass if you come or go. Great way to run a business. Run from these guys.
