    They seem to be doing ok in the lighter chassis like the x1 and f30, and with customers that keep up on the maintenance, or do oil changes more often than bmw suggests.
    I just put one in a 5 series (F10). Ive personally only seen trouble with them in the X3 and 5 series. Must be too heavy of a car for those wimpy lil timing chains, ?

      Yes, this.

      Also, the N52 is a really light engine, makes good power for an E30, and swaps have already been done. No turbo complication, smooth, reliable, and it doesn't sound like a tractor.
