Shifter too far forward. What you guys do about it ?

    Shifter too far forward. What you guys do about it ?

    My shifter is way too far forward is there anything that can be done besides cutting and re welding? I originally thought an s52 with e36 tranny is a direct fit.

    Which shift carrier/selector arm are you using? From the E30 or E36?

      You might have the shifter turned around 180*. Take it off of the selector rod and flip it. That might fix your problem

        shifter looks right, but it really doesn't look aligned in the hole. What engine mounts are you using?

          It's a e36 carrier and condor tranny mounts.

            There was a thread about this recently. I believe you need to use the e30 carrier and selector rod.
