    M50 Compression Test Numbers!

So I bought a good compression tester gauge and I used it on my M50 non vanos (with m54b30 block internals)

The gauge showed 240 on almost all cylinders, which is good that its consistent.
But isnt the number way too high ? Or is it just me

Well, what's your calculated compression ratio?

Given that a 2.5 can get close to 200, add a little gauge error and it doesn't seem all that high.

    How's the detonation?

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

Only thing you really can tell from the compression test is that are the numbers consistent between cylinders. Sounds like it so all good.
