E30 M50 Swap With Getrag260 Clutch Set Up Help

Its my first time building a car so bare with me lol.

I have a getrag 260 from an 84' e30 and an m50. I was wondering if I have to get a clutch kit that matches to the trans or the engine or a combination of the two. I did buy this kit as its for an e34 m50 after hearing someone else using an e34 set up but when I go to find that post its god dam no where to be found and I cant get a clear answer from any googling.

Sooo- the eta trans is deeper than the i trans by quite a bit*. Thus, you need to either get a deep throwout bearing,
or a thick flywheel, or some combination that gets your throwout bearing in the right position relative to the pressure plate.
The E21 323 bearing is deeper, but I don't think it's deep enough.

all I got- maybe others will have more.

Thanks for the info! anyway you might know how to get the proper measurements for the g260 to m50? I’m new to all this sorry if that’s a dumb ass question but I have the motor on the stand and it’ll be hard to mock up.

the engine dimensions are all the same, it's the transmission bell housings
and flywheels that are different. So you order the clutch by what transmission and
flywheel you're going to use. And I'm sad to say that that's where my concrete
knowledge poops out- whenever I do it, I have to measure the stuff I have,
figure out what spacing I need, order some parts, and then check it.
You'd think I'd write this shit down- and I do-
but then I forget where I left my notes. And every time I try to do it
from memory, I get it wrong.
