Yeah I was going to make a shrowd for it so nothing would get into it. The perma cool is almost the same price as my spal but double the cfm. Where did you get your fans from? I havent really found any good places yet.

I'm runnin one of the perma-cool's. 2950 cfm and its a 16" fan. I've got it on the e30 and then on my pickup, no issues in either. Wasn't a problem w/ the lowest temp m20 thermostat in the m50, no issues w/ the 100+degree spokane summer last year.

I run a 16'' Lo Pro Spal (max 1300 CFM) in between my engine and radiator with no shroud. My needle will climb to the middle at most and sit there.

I also use a little more water than coolant and a bottle of Water Wetter.

Also, why move to Avondale? Unless you're going to UTI, I don't recommend it if you can help it. ;)

Is anyone running AC? I am wondering what fan I should get and how to mount while still keeping the AC?

Trust me its not my choice. I do go to UTI (untrained idiots) but o well cant change it now. Right now I have an e36 m3 radiator. I guess I will just try and see what happens.

I'm running a e30 318i radiator and didn't have an issue in the hundred plus days in spokane last summer daily driving.

you'll be more then fine if you have a fan and a temp switch.

i have a 318 radiator with my s52, it does fine driving around, but not so much in traffic... i'm going to change it back to my e36 m3 radiator as soon as i can get a custom overflow tank.
