    s52 swap no spark

I put the test light on one of the coils, when the key is turned on the green wire gets power, brown is ground, checked chassis ground its ok.
Black wire goes to DME 1 for each coil, this is the wire that sends/triggers the spark to the coil. I assume that if you cranked the engine over test light would pulse with spark plug firing??

What tells the DME to fire the plugs? I would think it gets signal from cam & crank sensor?

    Help

    Thanks

The crank position sensor. There is mixed #'s on what the reading should be. My BRAND new sensor read 580 +/- 10 ohms.

The service manual says it should be around 1280. So who knows.

It needs the crank sensor only. The VR sensor I use in my lab reads 522 ohms. I have another one that reads 1800. They both work fine.

I was able to fire my plugs with only the ECU connected to a power supply and a trigger wheel on my bench grinder. The cam is only needed for sequential injection, I think.
