    1. Usually its safe to say, use the DS that came w/ the tranny.

    2. Yes you would use your stock DS w/ the 260

so a e36 d/s would work both length and flange wise for a 3.73 if i used the 265?

the 260 would just be shifted 10 degrees right? hmmm. 3.73 or 3.46 would be okay gearing for it too correct?

        flange wise yes, I have a e36 325is DS w/ the getrag 250.

        And the 3.73 feels great w/ the 260. My buddy has a 87' 325is w/ a getrag 260/3.73

now is the 265 longer then the 250? and the flange worked for the diff as well? curious
i think i might copy your buddy tho im not looking for a huge mount of power any time soon so i think that drive train will do the trick.

really love your alpine btw, sucker for the alpineII

I would suggest something a little tougher than the stock clutch. Its GOING to slip even w/ a chipped m50. You don't have to go 6 puck, but a stage 2 clutch w/ an HD PP is going to be plenty for most applications. And feel very close to stock...

I ran a stock clutch on my M50, I have TMS chip, 21.5 pink tops, S52 cams and a euro maf. I didnt have any slipping.
