    Troubles

    Transplanted my M50 from an 87 325 to my 88 325.
Took the motor out by dropping the sub frame, i.e. didn’t take it apart.
Now it’s running but has a couple issues.
While driving intermittently it will cut out and pop and sputter, after a while it will completely load up come to a stop and die.
Try restarting it just pops fires and back fires. Sometimes it will start back up, but if you give it gas it chokes out again.
After like 10 or so restarts and getting fairly frustrated it will start back up and run fine.
It’s done this 3 times so far.

Also just outa curiosity the Super ETA out of the 88 325 I took out what are these going for I have an IS head to put on it, but lack the intake and computer and I cut the end off the harness to make the connector for my 24V swap. Anyone interested let me know or let me know some prices.
    Thanks for you help guys

something electronically isn't working right. how are your spark plugs?

Grounds? Power? Fuel pump? If you can read the fuel pressure that would tell you a lot about how to narrow it down. Good fuel pressure means something electrical which could be crank position sensor, ECU power/ground.

Good idea about the spark plugs... what do they look like.
