I bought a filter that was a little to big and I had to make it fit, now i feel that the angle of the boot coming off of the MAF is going to throw it off and give a wrong reading. I have some pictures,

That setup is better then having it directly on the filter. The key with a cone setup is to put a decent distance between the filter and the HFM, so that the reading isn't thrown off by excess turbulence.
I used to run the filter directly on the HFM, and noticed a nice difference in throttle response and torque by moving the filter further away. Here is a pic of my newer setup:
In order to give me the most room, I used the ASC throttle boot instead. This allowed me to bring the HFM closer to the throttle, and the filter further away. I also have my high beam deleted for better air-flow.Check out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc

A nice feature of the ASC throttle boot is that it fits perfectly around the 3.5" hfm! No need for a reducer.Check out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc
