M50 swap - e28 M5 Engine Mounts

    If you're using E28 5 series mounts, you just get 2, they are the same, no passenger or driver specific. Just use the outer holes meant for the tabs to put the studs through.

      To toss it out there-- I used 2 drivers side E28 M5 motor mounts. There was no increase in NVH.

        Still confused but based on my reading if you use two e28 mounts it needs to be two from the right side, not the round ones, and you don't need to use any spacers.

        I think this thread confirms this.

          the e28 non m motor mounts are the same left and right side so it doesnt matter which one you get, they are the same.

            To bump an old thread I am going to get (2) of the e28 535i mounts. Part # 11-81-1-132-793-M737

            Can anyone confirm this? I am confused after a million opinions.

              I ended the confusion by getting the AKG mounts designed for the swap. My car sees the track regularly so I'm happy I went with that direction.
