already grinded a bunch off the mani. Moving the motor 1/2 inch forward would solve that issue too.

grease. heard that if they're not greased the brakes will stick cause excessive brake pad wear :dunno: just did it to be safe.

Thanks man, good luck to you too. Kinda cool we're so close with this...hope it works our perfect for both of us.

Forgot to mention, reason for re-doing booster is that there just isnt enough clearance between the manifold and the booster. moving it back should do the trick.

Also, my motor sits sooo close to the firewall. I'm going to have trouble putting the blower motor cover back on, that's how close it sits. Wish i could shim it forward a half inch... might try to see what I can do with that today too :???:

    done:
-Get csb removed and new one mounted
-Drill holes in modified tranny mount that my buddy didn't do when he made it
    -button up driveshaft/guibo/trannymount
-grease caliper bolts i forgot to grease so brakes dont stick
-harness gets here friday, do all wiring connections
-bought water pump pulley from the stealer

    Still to do:
    -tighten up slave cyl properly
    -fill tranny w/fluid
    -fill motor w/fluid
    -mount remote brake resevoir/bleed brakes
-terminate and run 5 or so wires for obd2 connections
-vacuum line hosing, done w/exception of brake booster to mani connection. will plug mani and leave booster off for first start
    -coolant hosing
    -get proper sized belt drive
    -tighten down motor mount bolts
    -install proper grounds
-remove o2 sensors from stock mani's
    -get rest of exhaust mounted
-redo iX booster (remove spacer, shorten rod)
-turn motherfuckin key and hear open headers roar
Goal for today is install the grounds, terminate gas lines, fill motor with fluid, try the first start and see if it runs. **fingers super crossed!!!***

Won't be able to run it long at all, as none of the cooling system is hooked up. Will then start working on the cooling lines, booster, and probably try to fill the tranny if all goes well.

Yes, my to do list got longer even though I took a handful of lines off. Got my work cut out for me.

    you're not kidding.

since last post, i have installed the rear axles and modified the shifter carrier and installed the entire shifter assembly. Tranny is bolted up to the motor, and starter is installed.

tried getting the old csb off the driveshaft so I can install the new one - OMGWTFBBQ?! absolutely ridiculous to remove. Hopefully taking it to a garage or the dealer my buddy works at tomorrow to get it removed and the new one put on. I messed with it forever last night with no luck. Tried my dad's bearing puller but the distance from the bearing to end of splines on driveshaft is too long for the puller claws. Hopefully better luck tomorrow with it.

    To do's...

-Get csb removed and new one mounted
-Drill holes in modified tranny mount that my buddy didn't do when he made it
    -fill tranny w/fluid
    -button up driveshaft/guibo/trannymount
-grease caliper bolts i forgot to grease so brakes dont stick
    -mount remote brake resevoir/bleed brakes
    -tighten up slave cyl properly
-harness gets here friday, do all wiring connections
-terminate and run 5 or so wires thru firewall for obd2 connections
    -vacuum line hosing
    -coolant hosing
-need a water pump pulley that I can't find (be better organized or dont do your swap over a million months, spread over a few locations)
    -get proper sized belt drive
    -tighten down motor mount bolts
-turn motherfuckin key and hear open headers roar

really hoping this weekend is the weekend. been working on it a lot last few days. Took a break today, but will be back on the grind till it's done tomorrow.

If anybody has a water pump pulley they want to sell cheap, I'll pay to overnight or 2-day it if you're not local. Can't be that expensive. $35 for a new one plus shipping? don't think so. at least nope not.

mani nuts are 2 day wait as well, $3 or so for the set. no big deal. need to find out if i can use the s52 shield. if no one can confirm i'll just order it and try it. ef it.
jaja we'll get it. i'm working it out with him. fuse 9 is only for idle speed control for m20.. shouln't even have anything to do with my harness. I'll send you an e-mail shortly.

don't know about the dust shield. my friend used the g260 everything with the g260 on his car if that helps. pm one the 24v getrag guys ;-)

Also got a new VAC e34 oil pan baffle that they just came out with and hooked me up on since I had a good wait on there end from some things that popped up. We'll see how that holds up, hopefully in the near future.;) Thats all that comes to mind right now, think that sums it up.
Sounds expensive, and awesome. Good luck.

    you're a saint.

anybody know if the dust shield that goes between the block/tranny can be interchanged between the m20/g260 one or the s52 one? wait time is 7-10 business days from dealer for m20 one, only 2 days for s52 shield. both about $22... and i'm using the m20 starter/flywheel with g260 trans.

my gut thinks i can order it, what say you?
