    I removed mine completely and just have it bolted up solid. Absolutely no play in mine.

    polak, he was asking about using the spacers to mount the rack to the subframe. You are talking about the spacers for modifying your steering linkage.

    Only on non-airbag cars. I didn't have to use the spacers even though I bought them for mine. Only thing I had to do was modify the high pressure lines, and make a new grommet plate for the firewall. :|

    Mike, I hope you bought a poly-urethane sterring coupler, removes all of the play from a rubber one. The coupler and steering rack are one of my favorite mods to date! :D

    Rotation isn't necessarily a bad thing. Backlash is. Can you tug or push on the tierod and get movement? If so, toss them. You should be able to use regular e30 tie rods, if you want to save the old tie rods.

    Started installing the rack, first question is did you guys use spacers on the two bolts to subframe holding rack in place, or just bend tabs till rack fits snug and secure then bolt up? Secondly, seems like there is A LOT of play in my tie tods compared to old rack I just removed. Tie rods almost swing freely and I can even rotate them 360 deg whereas I couldn't eve come close to doing that with my e30 rack. Sound like I have bad inners??
