    M50 Mustang O2 Sensor Use?

I've read that the Mustang V8 from ~1990 works as a replacement for E30s with M20s, and this thread also suggests that it works for an S50 in the first post.

The oxygen sensor for M20B25s and for my M50 seems to be exactly the same aside from possibly length and I would like to know if they're different at all. If possible, I'd like to use a Bosch O2 sensor and ~100 vs ~35, for the same result sounds good to me. Plus the people I've talked to so far have said they'd need to order the E34 sensor but I'd suspect a mustang part would be a bit more likely to be in stock and I need it very soon.

If you have tried this with an M50 or know much about O2 sensors in general, I'd appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks.

Bump for picking up my axle tomorrow and want to order an o2 sensor then.

For what it's worth, I interchanged the m20b25 o2 sensor and m50b25 o2 sensor, and it's working fine. I think the wire length would be the only difference. The heater element is probably the same rating, and that would be the only difference, if anything.

So yes, if a mustang o2 sensor works for a m20b25, it should also work for an m50.

The wire length shouldn't matter, since the plug would have to be changed anyway. But if m50 and m20 o2 sensors in terms of functionality are interchangeable, then it would make sense that it would work.
        Thanks for your response.

If I could get another answer affirming that it'll work, I'll probably go ahead and do it and post my results here.
