    Help me guys!

So for the past few days my motor has been behaving a little odd. I'll be cruising and every so often the car seems to misfire for a brief second, causing the car to jerk. However, this morning it got much worse! Now the fuel/spark cuts every 1500-200 rpms and the car runs like ass.

Trying to scan it with a Modic tonight to figure it out. I disconnected the battery and tried unplugging and replugging the ecu to no avail. I also tried running the car with the HFM detached, which caused it to run worse and stall. All relays are connected. Switched in my Turner chip, which also did not help. It holds idle fine and seems to be running on all 6 cylinders, so I don't think it's a coil pack. I suspect some sort of fuel issue, maybe the fuel pump is going out? When revving the car in neutral, it backfires at certain rpms. Please give me any input you guys have on this. Thanks in advance.

My car did the same when my pump was only putting out 30psi. So it could be fuel related. It was like my car had flat spots all threw the rpm range unless I was off the throttle.

    Hope that's all it is

When I needed to verify my non-return fuel system I used an oil pressure sender mounted to the fuel rail to monitor fuel pressure in real-time. 50psi... pressure is in the normal oil pressure range it worked great. Pep Boys probably has a kit with gauge for a few bucks.

You probobly already checked it, but make sure all vaccume lines and hoses going to the intake elbow are secured. Mine had one blow off last week and had something similar to your happen.

this is a weird one but check your power and ground terminals. at the starter, on the coil, etc. i had a similar problem and couldnt figure it out for the life of me, and for some whatever reason it seemed to be that at certain RPM's my terminals were shorting or something

                      Wow I'm an idiot.

When I replaced my crank sensor last year, I didn't secure the slack properly. So, the cable kept rubbing against the serpentine belt until it finally tore through. Chopped the wiring and re-soldered, and everything works fine. Code came up on the Snap-on Ethos tool we have at the shop.

Thanks for the help guys! :D
