First Afternoon of My Swap and Already, I've Got Questions

So I decided to tackle the ix brake booster first so that I can test out my brakes with the m20 and make sure they still exist. I didn't quite get that done today but here are my questions:

    1) My master cylinder has some sort of proportioning valve plumbed in below it that mounted to the two bolts holding the master cylinder to the booster. This thing does not want to fit back in place with the new master cylinder bolts - due to the attachment points being angled and further apart. The swap engine bays that I've seen pictured don't even have this thing. wtf?

    2) I have some sort of relay box mounted on my passenger fender. One of the wires goes down to my brake pad sensor. Again lots of swap photos without this little black box in this spot ??

    3) Where do you guys put the power steering fluid reservoir? - again not in original place in swap photos.

    4) I flipped my ix booster mounting bracket 180 degrees. The bracket has a slight angle and I flipped it to gain a bit of clearance from the manifold. The bracket has an opening that is now facing up and could collect some water etc. Whats the purpose of the hole and do I need to flip it back around?

I didn't make the progress I wanted today and am a little disappointed. Hopefully you guys can help me out a little :|
    Thanks
    Andy

I dont know what MC you're using, but i can tell you that mine(m5) didn't have one, it just has the two holes for the hardlines and two for the fluid reservior. As far as flipping the brake booster i dont remember doing that, i shaved a couple of fins off my intake manifold and added a spacer on the driver engine mount to get clearance. And i believe that hole you're talking about could be for the one way valve to the intake manifold......

I should have taken some pictures while I was there. I'll work on that. My MC is an ix unit and it has 2 holes for the hardlines and 2 holes for the reservoir. However, my stock MC had some kind of unit mounted just below it that is made of the same construction as the MC itself. It has two short hardlines that go directly to the MC. The two hardlines coming from the car itself mount into this unit in question.

            I know I need pics

I'm not using the ix booster, however we have removed that little valve on the swap cars and have had no issues.

so you just take the hard lines that would have gone into the little valve and pipe them into the MC?

which line goes into which hole on the MC?

                  thank you

another question: where is the upper radiator bracket used on most swaps from? e36 or late model e30? My early car doesn't have this piece.
