So I decided to tackle the ix brake booster first so that I can test out my brakes with the m20 and make sure they still exist. I didn't quite get that done today but here are my questions:
1) My master cylinder has some sort of proportioning valve plumbed in below it that mounted to the two bolts holding the master cylinder to the booster. This thing does not want to fit back in place with the new master cylinder bolts - due to the attachment points being angled and further apart. The swap engine bays that I've seen pictured don't even have this thing. wtf?
2) I have some sort of relay box mounted on my passenger fender. One of the wires goes down to my brake pad sensor. Again lots of swap photos without this little black box in this spot ??
3) Where do you guys put the power steering fluid reservoir? - again not in original place in swap photos.
4) I flipped my ix booster mounting bracket 180 degrees. The bracket has a slight angle and I flipped it to gain a bit of clearance from the manifold. The bracket has an opening that is now facing up and could collect some water etc. Whats the purpose of the hole and do I need to flip it back around?
I didn't make the progress I wanted today and am a little disappointed. Hopefully you guys can help me out a little :|
Thanks
Andy
