    s50 bought, few questions

Don't have any pictures of the engine, I forgot to take some and its at a buddies, but the swap will be going down in September. Currently in hardcore research mode, but I have a few questions now and I'm sure I'll have more that I couldn't find clear answers to.

1.) Clutch setup. I am using a g260 out of an eta. I am planning on converting to single mass flywheel and shaving it down a bunch. My question is, what clutch/pp should I use to handle the power of an s50? all I found were people with m50s. I'd like to keep this as cheap as possible, I don't want a super hardcore racing clutch as this is a DD.

2.) Exhaust. I'm planning on using SS rep headers. How much should I expect to pay an exhaust shop for a quiet exhaust, I won't be providing anything for them to use?

you can use your eta clutch setup with the s50 or you can use the s50 clutch setup with eta trans. it is all interchangeable. your starter pinion will have to match whatever flywheel you use and the pressure plate and clutch disk will have to match your fly as well. as it sounds like you already know, you are going to have to shave the back side of the eta fly to clear the s50 oil pan. i suggest getting a 6 puck clutch disk

I am planning on converting to the 325i flywheel because it can be made lighter, so as I understand it I will need the i clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. Will the stock clutch and pressure plate hold the power though? If I get a 6 puck clutch will the drivability be okay, or will it suffer? This is a DD. Also, will the stock pressure plate be okay or would I need to upgrade that as well?

I have G260, lightened e30 flywheel, stock e30 clutch and pressure plate. I have at least 240hp and no problems whatsoever with slipping. Just make sure to seal your flywheel bolts to keep the oil where it's supposed to be...

flywheel bolts are TTY and should be replaced after each use

Do not interchange mounting bolts. The S50 mounting bolts are longer than the one on M20, I think... Double check the length before use!!

Do yourself a favor and get the four section SS reps. They fit great and they don't require a ton of mods. As far as a quiet exhaust goes just make sure you use a resonator or two on a cheap e36 SS exhaust and it will be nice and silent. As far as $ goes start looking for a lightweight flywheel they are cheap when used.
