The rear bumper was the cause of poor planning. I have the rear plastic bumper, but I procrastinated and never got new bolts. So, I realized this the night before the show. I just didn't want to get pulled over. Now it seems like it has added a ton of character. I get looks like you wouldn't believe. But when I put my foot into it, all I see in the rear view is a big smile.
I will make a little build thread thingy for it sooner or later. I have a ton of time and money and effort into this car. It's not nearly done, but it sure is fun.

Old thread bump:
So today I finished my wiring and started my m52 for the first time. The wiring fits fine:
BUT, the cover interferes with the intake manifold (no picture yet)
I've heard that the fuel rail cover needs to be trimmed, but does the main cover need to be trimmed to clear the intake manifold?

I didn't trim any wires for my RHD Euro S50. Only cut and soldered some wires that crossed in bad spots. Everything barely fits in the cover but the relays had to go outside next to the fuse box.
Here's how it looked. I know it's a mess but it's not too bad after the cover is on. In this picture the diagnostic plug was still not in its holder. It's hard to see but I also put some black plastic looms over some wires outside of the cover.
After the cover is fitted.
The wires over the battery tray will be covered with the M3 cover.90 E30 S50B30

mine fits fine too, and i even rerouted the diagnostic plug back so that it was in the spot beside the fusebox... eliminated the x20, and thanks to my early model square C101 that mounts on the driver side of the fuse box, i had lots o room inside the cover.
I had to add a few more pins to the square C101 to make everything work.

There is a blank relay carrier you can buy from BMW.

There should be some relay carriers already built in around the fusebox though. Relays also can clip on other relays. I clip one relay on the fusebox. Then the next one can clip on the the first one and so on. Or you can get a relay carrier above and mount over the battery tray like Zionsville do in some of their conversions.90 E30 S50B30
