It is extremely close to the water pump fan clutch threads. I think i may be able to pull the radiator towards the front of the car a few mm with some heavy duty zip ties and possibly shave down the threads on the water pump just for peace of mind.

Other than that it looks like a decent fan, and you can't beat a lifetime warranty i guess!
Yeh its super close, I added a zip tie or two to the radiator to pull it back closer to the rad support. I didn't have any issues when I ran it with my m42 rad. Now that I have an E36 Mishimoto fitment was a peace of cake.

This is a great thread as I am deciding how to set up my cooling fans.

I see some guys run mechanical on the motor, but some cant... Kinda weird, I guess its just the different readiators.

With my set up I have an intercooler up front so I gotta find a great puller to mount engine side, and maybe that will be enough... I hope.

If not I might have to run a pusher as well...

      well see

How thick is the fan with that shroud? That's not too shabby if it fits!

Probably pushing it at 3.190 in., depends on the cage i guess.

Yeh, 2.25 on the radiator side is really pushing it... I mean you'll be VERY close to the hoses. Unless you're mounting this on the condenser side...

Yea, the 3.1" is pushing it for sure... I just test fit my mechanical fan from my m20 and it fits! I will start the car with that and see how she fairs... It was enough cooling for my m20 turbo, so maybe it will suffice.

I accidentally got the 89 degree thermostat! DOH!

Yeh the standard fan should be sufficient but I would swap out that t-stat haha
