    Quiet possibly a stupid question....

Just curious for those of you guys who have done the swap, did you get the wiring harness on the engine before or after you got the engine in the car?

I'm thinking of getting the trans/engine bolted up with everything on except the intake and going ahead wiring up all the harness except for the intake stuff (since it won't be on).

    What have you guys done?

I did it after, but I don't think it matters.

I've done it both ways as well. With the intake off, it's easy to wire the engine up.

I've done it both ways, but I prefer having the harness on the motor before dropping everything in.

The guys at TNG dropped in my engine first (sans intake).

No shit? Thank you for the fantastic insight on the two letters I transposed while typing. Since I'm not on the clock I don't proofread what I type on the Internets.

But thanks for your contribution ti the thread.

I put in the motor without the intake, then the transmission, then added all of the wiring, then the intake manifold and vacuum hoses, and then the cooling system last.

Wiring on the motor ready to go with the intake off. It allows you to hook up the heater lines easily and deal with some other stuff.
