      Hey guy's just wanted to let you know where i'm at. Got the old M42 engine out and sold it. Now the M50 will take it's place. Got some parts to begin, i got the e21 320i brake booster, e34 525 m50 oil pan and sump, e36 325i 1993 M50 engine with ECU and harness and getting soon the e36 M3 mid section exhaust catalytic convertors, downpipes and resonators. Now these are my questions: i have a 2.93 diff will this be to much of a long gear?? If so wich one do you recomand? How about the tranny, i heard from others that my GETRAG 240 off my M42 engine will fit and function well, i'm not to confident about this i rather go for the GETRAG 260. What are your suggestions? And one more final question since the engine is on a stand what do you recomand me to do since it has about 80000miles. Should i do some internal work, open it up, i dont really like the idea since it's a vanos engine and it's not like a regular M20 engine with a timing belt. Sorry for not putting this on the M50 engine swap thread, since i started this one and got great feedbacks, i decided to continue. Thanks :roll:

        I'm looking into this recessed MC thing...what BMW models had the recessed MC? The ETK says that the 325ix and 325i shared the same MC...so I assume I have look outside of the E30s for a recessed MC?
