    24v M50 airbox

well, i messed around at the junkyard last weekend looking at airboxes.E34'sE36's,530 and a 540..brought home 2..one from an E34 and another from an 528e..well the E34 wouldnt fit because of the ABS,but the 528e fit fine, with little modification..

That's a cool idea, but it looks like it's not parallel with the car, like it's cocked slightly. That would drive me crazy! If you search someone used a 535i box guttend and shortened as a heatshield for the k&n cone filter, it looks sick

that looks pretty good, i think if you were to play around with that bracket you could get it to align properly. i've seen people use the m20 airbox.

what kind of adapter plate are you using for the airbox to intake piping?

          Looks nice.

Question: Would the flow rate of the m20 airbox be sufficient enough for a s50/s52?

its not that crooked...its close to the Alt.but lines up good with the MAF.the inlet hole of the box lines up with the inlet hole of the headlight cover

If you find it could you post the link in here? I'm interested to see how this looks as well since I have an extra E34 535i airbox lying around.

i like that bracket you fabricated. i wanted to do something stock looking, but in the end i decided to go with that cylindrical carbon fiber cold air intake that one of the members sells for about a hundred bucks. it doesn't look very stock, and the supplied mounting bracket needs to made stronger, but i think it is one of the best choices available. with that said, i do like what you have done. a k&n filter inside there wouldn't hurt anything, either.
