is it possible to convert to OBDI without a head swap? and if not verify m50/52 heads will fit. I have hear the oil passages will not line up on one forum. Thanks

I dont know much about the vanos system. which leads me to my next question.

Is it possible to install m/s52 non vanos cam trays and use a standard cam from s52?

No, but all m50/s50/m52/s52s from 93+ have Vanos, so there is no issue

Virtually everything about the M52tu is the same as the M54. Heads are interchangeable, as are the vanos units, as are, well, every single part I've compared on the race car.

So could we I take a M54b30 block and slap on a m5x or s5x head and then have a aluminum 3.0? I asked this question a while back and it never got a reply on here.
