Dom did my harness so it is plug and play, no pig tail bullshit. Actually picking it up from him today as a matter of fact. They have done a lot of these swaps and I have seen their work first hand and it is top notch. Actually bought some of the swap parts from Justin as well and everything was in great shape. Just an FYI if you are considering doing everything your self then there are somethings you could outsource such as this to someone with more experience. I'm doing this same swap right now with an s52 OBD1. -

Guess I still need my sensors, engine mounts, and MAF.
What is this "cluster sensor/drill/tap"?
Seems like I have most of the hard parts. Engine, m50 intake parts and the lower pan parts. Need sensors, mounts and such.Leave a comment:

i am sure this would all still apply for an s52?i can atleast do your harness modification if you would like.
crank sensor
cam sensor
knock sensors
engine temp sensor
cluster sensor (drill and tap head/drillout TB coolant hose hole and re tap/rethread sensor)
maf from obd1 vanos motor.
obd1 O2 sensor
413 ecy
obd1 throttle body
obd1 vanos intake manifold
welded obd2 manifolds
what trans are you going with? i would suggest the zf for the plug and play factor.
would you still be able to use obd1 coils?Leave a comment:

either way, if i ever boost my m52 it will be a s/c. i like the idea better and i dont want huge power. i think 275-290whp is PLENTY for these cars. 300+ wont get to the ground.Leave a comment:

bingo
s/c don't put any more STRESS on an engine than turbos do. The stress comes from the extra air being rammed into the cylinders, and the treat/risk of detonation
s/c put more DRAG on an enigne, maybe that's what you meanLeave a comment:

yeah how would a turbo be stressful on the motor? exhaust spools it. superchargers are constantly weighing on the pulley. i wouldnt say its a great deal but over time i would say yes its stressful. ive always been told that by people who know much more than i.Leave a comment:

For sure Matt... and considering sub 2K for a used kit, many with bigger injectors and multiple belts/pulleys. Done deal!
S/C M52 would be super awesome in E30 me thinks.Leave a comment:

lol so that makes it more stressful on the motor? interesting viewpoint.Leave a comment:

well it causes more stress on the motor because its constantly being spun by the belt as apposed to exhaust.Leave a comment:

supercharging is greater load on the motor?
Cheap supercharger kit + awesome tuning is probably the way to go for under $5k or so.Leave a comment:
