I had the machine shop tig weld mine also because they could weld. You could install a oil pressure gauge for (peace of mind) and should not use to much $$$.That way if it dropped off, You could shut it down and not hurt the motor.There are a ton of e36 motors with nothing done and are fine (street use) that is. Dude8383 could you share what you bought for the engine side fan? It looks like you bought a 12 " fan but then changed it to a 14" fan. Is this correct? Thanks

I read on another DIY that you should red loc-tite it then intentionally smack the threads with a hammer and punch so it cannot come back off. Sadly my welder is broken or I would have welded it

im swapping an s52 into my car with in the next couple weeks so its suggested that i do that just for a precaution? I pulled out the gernaded s50 but didnt dig into it at all but am thinking about it to see if that was the problem now that all this is brought to my attentionsigpicComment
