just realized my mounts are opposite to this. the stud is in the hole, and the nub is in the slot.. this especially sucks since everything is bolted up..
this most likely wont cause an issue will it?

show us a picture of the mounts. My guess is that they are tweaked pretty badly. That's bad and will cause the mounts to fail quicker. You could turn the mounts around by just lifting the engine a couple inches. next time you're around a cherry picker, i'd do that.
they didnt look all that tweaked. they were getting intimate with the frame rail though. ill just rotate them. you can only imagine how fun it was to get them in the opposite way.

I was about to post this exact question a few days ago. I didn't pay attention when I installed mine, and just the other day, noticed one was backwards. I lifted the engine just high enough to relieve pressure from the mount and could move the mount up and down about an inch. With the upper stud still in the motor mount arm, I spun the mount, and watched the the stud and tab rotate from below. They both lined up with the holes regardless of which way they were oriented.
The mounts surfaces are parallel, and the upper stud is centered. The lower stud and tab are equal distances from center. I don't see how anything could be effected by this.
